Would you Like to Live in Stedly?

Two dozen suggested names for the new 12 town Rochdale- Bury metropolitian area now known as District C - have so far been received by Rochdale town clerk, Mr K.B. Moore. Amongst the suggested names are Pilkington, Hackleton, Heywood or Broadfield, Town of Roch, Stedly, Roachbury, Dale, Two Rivers, Penine Vale, Greater Irwell, Irwell Valley, Vale of Irwell and Irwell.
