On this day 20th September 1874
Detective Sergeant Banks while on the mount met a man carrying a carpet bag, he expressed desire to see contents of the bag… but the man refused, upon which the detective marched him off to the Town Hall, the bag was then found to contain 14 six chambered revolvers and a case of cartridges.
